Anime - Fest TLAXCALA - Interview Is Jade Cob
Hello, how are you? Today, in this post, you are going to read an interview one of my Mexican friends. She is the person who had helped me to design this website. Thus, like you could imagine, the topic of this post will be different from the previous ones.
This event was the October 28th. The city was Apizaco and that is in Tlaxcala state, Mexico. Jade was part of the Staff member who was in charge of organizing the convention.
The thing that makes that event have been special was there was a special guest. He is the voice actor who made The Spider Man's voice in Spanish. For this reason, I'd like to do some questions and show some productions that Jade has made.
1.- How was the event? Jade: "I think we could reach the majority of our goals. The majority of the attendees left the event happily when it finished and they got autographs, audio notes or a selfish with our actor guest. Anime-Fest is an entertainment's event, made to hang out with your family or friends. One of our main targets is the voice dubbing recognition publically because even though a lot of people know what it is, it hasn't got the credits that it deserves. We have made a lot of activities during the event, such as competitions so that everybody can participate and have fun. Also, Anime-Fest is a good opportunity to get products about your favourite series, anime or comics. This event was made only a day in a convention centre that is from my city. We started to announce that event two or three months ago so that people could find it."
2.- How was the meeting with the actor? Jade: "It was too nice. He is an excellent person. He was kind and attentive to everybody who asked him for some selfies or autographs. Before the conference, I could see him from afar. Later, he accepted to dinner with the member's stuff and that was private. We could talk to him a little while."
3.- What did he do during the event? Jade: "He gave a lecture. That was the most important thing in the event. He told us about the characters that he had done the dubbing and how that had an influence in his life. He showed us a pair of videos that he used in order to act with some people who were in the event. Finally, using the videos he was showing us, he played the role of the most three important characters he had acted during his career. And unlike previous actors, his presentation was entertaining because he searched the way to interact with the public, that was something we all thanked him."
4.- What things can you tell us about him, his career and those things? Jade: "Javier Olguín have an artistic career of more than seventeen years and he started it when he was very young. His dubbing is what he pays more attention to, for that he is more famous, but he commented us that he has acted in theatres. Also, he has worked as a radio announcer and other things in relation to acting. Besides, he got recently the dubbing direction of an Anime film called <Kimi no Na wa Your Name>".
5.- In regard to the event, how long has it take to organise it?
Jade: "We approximately spend four months to plan and organise every Anime-Fest. My friend is the event's director, who makes the event's plan and logistic. The next step is to show to the team their roles in order to start to prepare the next Anime-Fest edition. We're a team of almost ten people and we make a lot of different tasks that everybody specialises in it to do it."
Was there any competition? Jade: "Yes, there was. There is not an age limit to participate in it. We organise competitions about Cosplay, K-Pop, colour drawing, black and white drawing and other more ones."
Were there any foreign people from your city? Jade: "We were surprised too much for the response we had because people have come from many places that aren't too close to our city, only to assist to the convention. We were happy because of that. "
Was the event big?
Jade: " At the state level, we're the largest event of its kind. However, it's still a small event. In any case, we always seek to reach a higher level."
6.- What expectation do you have from now in the future? Jade: "I think the goal, more than personal, is a group goal because for this job, we must work on a team and we always must search the way to improve ourselves. We have achieved a lot, but we want to grow up. We do events for our assistants more than for us because thanks to them we and this project can still move forward."
I will let some of your videos and productions so that people can see it, although unfortunately, everything will be in Spanish and the readers who don't know Spanish could have problems to understand them.
7.- Is there something else that you would like to add? Jade: "Yes. I think if there is something else I would like to remark, is that the majority of the team, are people between 18 and 25 years old. We started this project three years ago.
It hasn't been easy, we've made some mistakes but those things didn't stop us. I'd like that our example could work to motivate people who want to try something and their age has stopped them. While you learn more, it will better for you. Don't let that a number stop you to become your dreams in reality."
Okay, this is what this post was about. I hope that you have enjoyed it and if you did, let me your comment below and share this post on social networks.
See you soon!
PD: I'll let some videos and photos about the event.
